Music is all around the world and inside of us too. This performance program for grades K-8 takes the students on a trip around the world exploring musical instruments from six continents. The students will find each continent on a map and help create a song using some of the instruments. They will choose a key from the musical alphabet, rhythm, emotion and theme or story for the song. This program will work for large audiences and for the classroom. Duration: 45 to 60 minutes.

This  workshop is designed for a music classroom in which students have access to instruments in a pentatonic or diatonic scale including band and orchestra. Other percussive instruments (hand drums and tambourines) are also welcome. The students will help create a theme or story for a song and will take turns improvising music based on the feeling of the song. Duration: 45 minutes.


Technology affects they way we listen to music on a day to day basis. This program explores process of recorded music; from it's history to the way our favorite music is recorded today. Trevor has had his musical recordings played on hundreds of radio stations across America and in this program the students will explore the same technology Trevor uses to make his own music; from microphones to computers. The students will help create a song using an electronic drum loop and synthesizers. Students are encouraged to to write, sing or rap lyrics to a song. A CD of the song will be given to the classroom. This workshop is recommended for grades 8-12. Duration: 45 to 60 minutes.


This program is a duet workshop with folk dancing instructor Joyce Gedraitis. Students will learn dances from around the world of the people who immigrated to Kansas. Trevor accompanies with music performed on instruments that are native to the origins of the dance. Recommended for grades 2-5. Duration: 45 minutes.
