In 2010, Trevor began work with the Wichita School District through a program called Art's Partners which brings arts educational programs to elementary and secondary schools. Trevor is currently offering the following school programs...

MUSIC IS EVERYWHERE!

Music is all around the world and inside of us too. This performance program for grades K-8 takes the students on a trip around the world exploring musical instruments from six continents. The students will find each continent on a map and help create a song using some of the instruments. They will choose a key from the musical alphabet, rhythm, emotion and theme or story for the song. This program will work for large audiences and for the classroom. Duration: 45 to 60 minutes.

"We love Trevor's program. We learned so much".

         J. Morton, 4th/5th grade, Franklin Elementary, Wichita, KS

"Excellent job of engaging children in learning! Nice job connecting music with geography, transportation, history, etc.! Kid's and teachers really enjoyed it! Thank you!

MUSIC NOW...AND INTO THE FUTURE!

Technology affects they way we listen to music on a day to day basis. This program explores process of recorded music; from it's history to the way our favorite music is recorded today. Trevor has had his musical recordings played on hundreds of radio stations across America and in this program the students will explore the same technology Trevor uses to make his own music; from microphones to computers. The students will help create a song using an electronic drum loop and synthesizers. Students are encouraged to to write, sing or rap lyrics to a song. A CD of the song will be given to the classroom. This workshop is recommended for grades 8-12. Duration: 45 to 60 minutes.

“The future of music may not lie entirely with music itself, but rather in the way it encourages and extends, rather than limits, the aspirations and ideas of the people, in the way it makes itself a part of the finer things that humanity does and dreams of.”- Charles Ives
